The units in the FM Hygienic series are certified according to the stringent VDI 6022 and DIN 1946-4 standards, which are internationally recognised for hygiene standards in ventilation, particularly in healthcare environments.

The certification, carried out by Eurocertifications Srl, TÜV Hessen's Italian partner, certifies the use of approved materials and components that guarantee ease of cleaning, resistance to detergents and disinfectants, as well as reducing microbial proliferation. Designed for applications that require frequent sanitisation procedures with potentially aggressive agents, these units fully comply with the latest geometric and construction requirements and hygiene and safety requirements.

Product specifications

The panelling is made with a double sheet metal wall, available in different materials: from galvanised steel to AISI 316 stainless steel, pre-painted galvanised steel with antibacterial coating or ZM310 zinc/magnesium steel with class C5 corrosion resistance.

The insulation can be made of polyurethane or mineral wool, while the newly designed seals ensure reduced leakage in compliance with EN 1886. The screw-free panel fixing system to the supporting structure maintains the integrity of the panelling and ensures even pressure distribution, even in the event of extraordinary maintenance and reassembly.

The modular structure allows for component standardisation and flexibility of use, with 50 mm sandwich panelling, access sections that facilitate inspection and cleaning, panels and drainage trays for rapid water drainage during sanitisation, and 109 sizes available.

Aluminium profiles are available in the following versions:

The thermal and acoustic insulation of the panels can be achieved with:

Special feature

IONIZER MODULES The installation of the ionizer modules keeps the unit sanitised over time. The oxidising ions generated by photocatalytic oxidation destroy bacteria, viruses, moulds, allergens and odours.

HUMIDIFICATION SYSTEMS The humidification systems are chosen based on the specific use and the available fluid. The available options include:

  • isothermal humidification: steam distribution, with immersed electrodes, resistance heater elements or gas generator.
  • adiabatic humidification: paper pad, PVC pack, with or without a recirculation pump, high pressure, compressed air, ultra-sound and air washer.

HEAT RECOVERY UNITS Various types of heat recovery systems make it possible to comply with energy saving regulations currently in force.

  • cross-flow plate heat recovery units
  • countercurrent plate heat recovery units (efficiency >90%)
  • rotary heat recovery units (heat and humidity exchange)
